Take the challenge out of locating and applying special-bid pricing

Ever wish you could find out which vendors are offering special-bid pricing for large opportunities?

Well, now you can. With the new Promotion Search tool on techdata.com, you can take advantage of up to four promos on a single SKU. The Promotion Search tool locates special-bid pricing from all vendors on Tech Data’s line card. Plus, it offers the option to proactively search for promos using a number of criteria, including end user or vertical market, so you can approach prospects with special-pricing opportunities to close new business.

“Special-bid pricing has been one of the channel’s biggest challenges for many years,” says Tech Data Senior Vice President of U.S. Marketing Joe Quaglia. “We’re making it easier for resellers to access, track and apply all pricing promotions available to them, and we are helping vendors better communicate their special pricing.”

In addition to providing a convenient way to search and identify these opportunities, the Promotion Search tool is a valuable leadgeneration resource. You can use to it to call on new prospects to notify them of special-bid pricing that’s available to them. You also can use the market search function to identify special promos for end users in healthcare, government and education to present the most competitive bids when pursuing new sales opportunities in these sectors.

Everyone wants to get the best deal possible. The Promotion Search tool helps you do this with more vendor promotions automatically applied to your purchase.

Your shopping cart automatically adds eligible promos to your purchases. You also can proactively search for promotions by item number, vendor bid number, market, vendor name or end user name. Wild card search parameters have been enabled on the enduser search option to allow you to more easily locate the one you’re looking for.

For example, even if the end-user name is spelled differently in our database, conducting a wild card search using the first few letters of the company’s name will help you find the customer.

The shopping cart automatically applies the largest discount available for a particular part number. End-user discounts vary, so VARs need to review them and decide which is the best option for the customer.
