The following guidelines are designed to ensure the correct use and consistent treatment of the Tech Data logo. In using these guidelines, we encourage our business partners to represent Tech Data with the highest level of professionalism. Please help us preserve the integrity and effectiveness of the Tech Data logo by applying these guidelines to all print and electronic media.

Additional Information

Tech Data Canada's Logo Usage and Standards Guidelines are consistent with Tech Data Corporation's Legal Standards and are designed to maintain a consistent and unified treatment of the Tech Data logo. Appropriate Usage

In order to be visually effective, the Tech Data Signature, symbol and logotype must be used consistently. A consistent identity is critical in attracting new customers, building a loyal customer base and redefining Tech Data's commitment to excellence.

Colours

The use and consistency of Tech Data's colours is an important part of our identity. We have developed explicit guidelines for colour usage.

For the Signature, Tech Data's authorized colour is Pantone Reflex Blue C. The Signature also may appear in black, depending on the application. The four-colour process equivalent to Pantone Reflex Blue C is 100% Cyan combined with 72% Magenta and 6% Black with 0% Yellow.

The logo should be reproduced on a white background. However, using the logo on a coloured background is largely a matter of individual choice. If using a background colour or photograph, the screen value should not be more than 20 percent.

Reproduction

When reproducing the Tech Data logo in printed pieces, or electronically:

  • Always use black when printing one-colour and two-colour pieces. Although black is the preferred colour in two-colour pieces, the logo should be printed in Reflex Blue if the second colour is Reflex Blue.
  • Always use the Reflex Blue equivalent when printing four-colour process pieces. Never use black.
  • Never use a screen tint or shade when reproducing the Tech Data logo.

For promotional materials, black and Reflex Blue should be used, although there may be exceptions depending on the colour of the promotional item. All requests must be approved by Tech Data's Director of Marketing, Irene Buchan, prior to printing.

Signature

Tech Data's Signature is comprised of two unique elements: The Tech Data symbol and logotype.

The Tech Data symbol is represented by "TD," which is Tech Data's corporate monogram.

The Tech Data logotype is proprietary and contains the letters that comprise the Tech Data name. The symbol and logotype should appear together. Requests to use only the corporate symbol must be approved by Tech Data's Director of Marketing, Irene Buchan.

The Signature must be treated as a complete element and resized proportionally. To ensure readability, the Signature should always appear on a white or light-coloured background. Do not add words or visual elements to the Signature, including company subsidiaries, vendors or product names.

Do not use the Signature, symbol or logotype as part of a sentence or word phrase, or associate it with a non-related symbol or graphic element.

When reproducing the Tech Data Signature, please use the authorized artwork provided. When referring to Tech Data in body text, always use "Tech Data" rather than "TD."
