Tech Data Canada goes cross-country with
Business Builder Tour
Additional stops include Vancouver and Ottawa
Mississauga, ON – September 24, 2009 – Tech Data Canada, a leading provider of IT products, continued its successful Business Builder Tour event with a stop in Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday. Since its sophomore launch in May of this year, the event has seen nearly 600 resellers in attendance at the first three stops in the six-city, cross-country tour.
“We are extremely pleased with the success of this event so far this year,” explained Greg Myers, Vice-President, Marketing, Tech Data Canada. “We’ve already seen a 34 per cent increase in attendance and our vendor sponsors have ensured all program content is relevant and timely given the current economic climate.”
Consistent with last year’s popular format, reseller attendees participated in scheduled one-on-one meetings with Tech Data and vendor executives to review business plans and opportunities for growth. Furthermore, attendees had the opportunity to see first-hand the product offerings from over 38 manufacturers.
“These events are one-stop shows for resellers of all shapes and sizes,” continued Myers. “Reseller executives, sales representatives and even technical staff can benefit from attending these events.”
Each stop on the Business Builder Tour concludes with an evening casino and cocktail reception party, providing attendees with the opportunity to network with peers and colleagues. Thousands of dollars in prizes have been awarded so far this year with many more chances to win this fall.
Following today’s stop in Calgary, the Business Builder Tour will stop in Vancouver, British Columbia, on October 29 and Ottawa, Ontario, on November 4, 2009.
