Returning products
(using the Online RMA form)

To avoid confusion and unnecessary expense, please do not return anything until Tech Data has issued a Return Authorization Number and instructions for handling the return. This allows an opportunity to review the circumstances and determine how the manufacturer wants to address the problem.

The Online RMA form is a convenient means of initiating this process. There are three sections to the form: the Contact section, the Product section, and the Returns Division section.

To request an RMA number, please follow these steps:

  1. Supply all the information requested in the Contact section. All this is required information and you cannot submit the form without it.
  2. Complete the appropriate information in the Product section for each product you are returning. There is space for five products in this section, and three kinds of information are requested for each product: Product Information, Order Information, and REturn Information.
  3. Finally, indicate which Returns Division should handle your request:
    • Retail — if your company is primarily a retail business
    • RMA East — if you are a VAR located East of the Missippi River
    • RMA West — if you are a VAR located West of the Mississippi river
  4. Click the Review Form button. A summary of your information appears for your review.
  5. At the bottom of the review form, click the Submit button. The form is sent to Tech Data. You should receive a response by e-mail within 24 hours.
