Date information

Overview

The Tech Data website displays several carefully defined types of date information on various screens. Definitions appear below:

Requested Ship Date

The Requested Ship Date displays the date the order was requested to be shipped. Please note that any stock available on the date the order is placed is not reserved for any future-dated orders, and there is a risk the product may not be available on the future Requested Ship Date.

ETS Dates and Available Ship Dates as described below can still be applicable to any order line that has a Requested Ship Date.

ETS Date

The Estimated Time to Ship (ETS) Date is calculated in the event a line is backordered. The ETS Date is the date that Tech Data expects to be able to fill the entire line item. Please note that Tech Data may receive partial quantities from the vendor sooner than expected; therefore, a partial fulfillment to the order line could be shipped by Tech Data earlier than the ETS Date if the order was not flagged as a "Ship Complete" order.

ETS Dates are determined based on information that Tech Data receives from their vendors and represents the best information available at that time. Because this date is estimated using vendor-provided information, product availability and/or order shipment cannot be guaranteed.

The word "Unknown" is used when no ETS Date information is available from the vendor.

Available Ship Date

The Available Ship Date is the date that each product is scheduled to be shipped from a Tech Data warehouse after any order processing or requested configuration has been completed. Please note that the Available Ship Date does not take into account any unrelated order conditions that could delay shipment, such as credit holds or a "Ship Complete" requirement.
