Saving your order

If you have prepared an order but are not yet ready to submit it, you can save the order on the Tech Data system for up to five business days. When you reopen the saved order, the system updates the ship date and revalidates prices and availability in real-time.

If you resave the same order, the system does not overwrite the original, but creates a new copy using the same P.O. number. You can differentiate multiple copies by noting the date and time each was saved. For more information, see Opening a saved order.

To save your order on the Tech Data system:

  1. Prepare an order. For more information, see Ordering products online. You can include as much or as little information as you want, but you must enter at least your P.O. number.
  2. Click the Check Out button on the Shopping Cart.
  3. At the top of the Check Out page, click the Save Order link. A message is displayed confirming that your order has been saved.
Warning: If you do not submit a saved order within five business days, the system deletes it. Products listed on the order are not reserved or allocated to you, and promotions available when you saved the order may not be available when you reopen it.
