    Healthcare

Healthcare remains a paper intensive and minimally digitized industry. Maintaining paper-based records is labor intensive, prone to errors, difficult to audit and extremely costly. This is about to dramatically change as President Obama’s vision to move the U.S. to electronic health has been jump-started by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). ARRA, signed on February 17, 2009, includes $19.2 billion in provisions for healthcare information technology.

Digitizing all health related documents can expedite patient care, improve the quality of care, enhances records management to facilitate regulatory compliance and can yield significant cost savings.

    Government

National security, corporate scrutiny, and healthcare-industry reform have created a huge flow of regulations—and a huge demand for regulatory compliance. The Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, Patriot and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPPA) Acts - as well as the Government Paperwork Elimination and Reduction Act - require government at the state, local, and federal levels, to employ reliable and efficient data-storage technology. And that goes for the businesses government oversees, too. How can your department stay on top of the paperwork mountain? With Fujitsu document imaging solutions.

Fujitsu scanners meet the demanding requirements of government offices with image-processing solutions that include the world's fastest scanners (capturing up to 180 images per minute.)

Fujitsu scanners don’t just deliver speed: they also offer image quality, intelligent paper handling, reliable functionality, and true ease of integration and compatibility with more than 200 imaging applications.

Fujitsu is the imaging industry's technology leader with standard features such as built-in automatic document feeders for rapid, unattended scanning of multiple documents, and flatbed scanners for books, bound reports, or fragile originals. Fujitsu has also integrated the newest version of Kofax® VRS® (VirtualReScan®) image-perfecting technology into the company's scanner line. The VRS hardware and software integration with the Fujitsu wide range of scanners enables government workers to complete document capture tasks more efficiently and at a lower cost.

    Financial

Does your financial services institution need to improve efficiency, decrease data retrieval time, or reduce storage costs? Of course it does. Since the passage of the Sarbanes-Oxley and Patriot acts, companies must be even more rigorous in their recordkeeping and reporting. That makes the need for fast, flawless image-processing all the more important. Successful financial services institutions know that the smart money’s on Fujitsu.

Fujitsu pours over 20 years of experience into each of its new scanners—that’s both technical experience, and experience listening to the needs of its financial sector customers. The result is that every Fujitsu scanner has features that make financial document management fast, reliable, and simple. For example, the Fujitsu ScanSnap scanners allow data-heavy firms to quickly convert paper documents into searchable Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files. The Fujitsu fi-series scanners include the newest version of Kofax® VRS®(VirtualReScan®) image-perfecting technology that saves users time and money. With Fujitsu scanners in your office, your financial services company will always stay on top of the mandated paperwork. You can bank on it.

    Insurance

When insurance companies discuss policy options with a client, conduct a risk assessment on a new policy, or service a claim, it's essential that agents have immediate access to accurate and comprehensive information. To protect their customer base, these companies also focus on reducing claims processing time and customer inquiry resolution. The large volume of cases—and associated paperwork—makes efficient operation of an insurance business a significant challenge.

Fujitsu Scanners: A safe pair of hands for document management
Fortunately, Fujitsu image-processing solutions make it possible to run your insurance organization more smoothly than ever. For example, the Fujitsu fi-6130 and fi-6230 color duplex workgroup scanners offer exceptional high-capacity paper handling, high productivity, and selectable RGB color dropout makes insurance-forms processing simple. The scanners are equipped with a 50-page automatic document feeder (ADF) and use Kofax® VRS® (VirtualReScan®) software which lowers costs by requiring fewer re-scans and producing easier-to-read images. With Fujitsu scanners in your office, you can process paperwork quickly—and your clients' information is safe.

    Education

Educators, isn’t it time you graduated to a professional document-management system? Now you can move to the head of the class with Fujitsu’s document and image scanning solutions.

From small footprints to high-speed options, Fujitsu meets the needs of educators in local school districts, community colleges, and large universities. That is because Fujitsu scanners can easily digitize documents and convert them to Portable Document Format (.pdf) files.

The result: educators can instantly access term papers, research findings, and other key documents, and then send them via e-mail, eliminating wasteful printing and distribution costs, while lowering physical labor and storage costs. Educators and students alike are also able to digitally preserve, protect and archive all of their crucial documents, whether it’s a student’s proposal or a professor’s important administrative paperwork. With Fujitsu scanners handling the paper load, teachers can focus on teaching, and students can focus on learning.
